BRINGING A DOG OR OTHER PET?

The Fireside Lodge is well-known to be the Most Pet-Friendly Lodge in Tahoe! We accept ALL pets!

With most of our guests traveling with dogs, the Fireside Lodge offers indoor and outdoor space for your dog to relax and roam. Lake Tahoe is one of the best places to take a vacation with your dog and explore beautiful parks, beaches, and scenic hiking trails during your stay if you desire.

Your dog is just as treasured of a guest as you are. Each dog is welcomed with a pet package that includes a water bowl, food bowl, pet blanket, towel to clean their paws, dog-clean bags, and of course, a welcome treat! We also have contacts of local dog & cat sitters that may be helpful.

Dogs/pets MAY be left unattended in the room. Pet Courtesy information is reviewed upon your arrival.

Our “Pet Clean Charge” is 35 USD per night for the first dog/pet; 15 USD per night for each additional dog/pet. This fee applies to all pets, including cats or other pets.

Best Place to stay in South Lake Tahoe Very dog-friendly, wonderful place to stay when visiting South Lake Tahoe. Our 2nd visit and both times it has been an extraordinary experience. Everybody is super friendly and helpful. And, there’s a wine & cheese Happy Hour every evening to top it off!! We will definitely return.

Charming Lodge with Amazing People! Let me start by saying Ben is awesome! The Fireside Lodge is a true gem tucked next to a National Forest. While most hotels are taking away amenities, the Fireside Lodge creatively gives you all you could ask for and more; wine & cheese, breakfast, bikes, paddle boards and s'mores. We were actually leaving Lake Tahoe when our SUV broke down. Luckily they had a room for us during the week for our unexpected stay. We booked the room with Ben and it could not have been a more comforting place to stay after our grueling day. The next morning during breakfast we mentioned to Ben the details of our car issues. By the end of breakfast Ben was actually under the hood of our Range Rover tweaking our repair, filling our suspension with air and giving us the confidence we needed to make it safely home. He even offered to drive and pick us up if the SUV went down again! Talk about going above and beyond! We could not be more grateful for his help and assistance. Thank you Ben!The FL is a family owned business with a lot of heart and good people.We will definitely be back but next time without the car repair!

Free parking, comfortable room Cozy room with gas stone fireplace, separate, convenient kitchenette with table and built-in bench seating and bathroom. L-shaped, 10 room, vintage motel perpendicular to the highway and directly adjacent to the national forest. The good news is your car is parked immediately outside your room door, the bad news is the exterior walkway is right outside your door and window as well as everyone else's car. A lively conversation between other guests in early morning woke us & other guests loading up their car. Check out is 10 AM, instead of your typical 11 AM. The bed was good, appreciated the kitchenette, and room was cute, although a bit cluttered for unpacking your things as there's no closet, and every shelf covered with decorative items. Minimal toiletries. (Only liquid soaps, no face bar soap, or shower cap). Breakfast was self-serve waffle maker, packaged cereal, bagels, pastries, granola, yoplait, hard boiled eggs, juices. There's an outdoor seating area at the back of the property with chairs and smores for evening treat. The road noise was present but our room was not adjacent to the street so was tolerable for sleeping with the window closed.

The Perfect little lodge The Fireside Lodge was such a cute place to stay. From the lovely themed room to the breakfast laid out as if you were in your grandmothers kitchen. The staff were amazing! Super friendly & loved the pup too! The complementary bikes were fun to ride down the trail that lies right behind the lodge -making it super continent. If you want to be about 10 mins from downtown S. Lake Tahoe avoiding too much hustle & bustle. This is the perfect location. Right by the entry way to the forrest, but close enough to restaurants etc. Hope to come back soon.

Dogs are welcome in this hotel. We never had a dog that smoked in bed and set fire to the blankets. We never had a dog that stole our towels and played the T.V. too loud, or had a noisy fight with his traveling companion. We never had a dog that got drunk and broke up the furniture. So if your dog can vouch for you, you’re welcome too.
